Jetstar Complaint - Lost Luggage Jetstar Airlines

GOLD COAST -- Lost luggage at Coolangatta airport Dec 2008 with Jetstar. I was initially told that it would be on the next flight -which turned out to be false. I was given a number for baggage inquiries. After 37 tries (over 2 days) I finally got through to a live person who said they'd ring me back -which they did -to tell me they had not found it. No calls for another 2 days. I tried ringing the number again-this time I got through after maybe only 30 rings. The person at the other end tells me it has been found and that I would get it the next day. I waited for the bag but it did not turn up. I rang again and another person answered the phone to tell me she does not know what has happened but she would ring me back. She never got back to me. I had given my mobile number and my wife's mobile number and specifically requested to be rung if the luggage had been found. We had our phones with us for the whole time. I thought maybe I should see if it had been delivered to another address so I inquired at a hotel a couple of minutes walk away.

The luggage was there for who know how long! I finally found my luggage 2 days before I was due to return to Sydney from my holiday. We checked to see if there were any missed calls or messages on our phones -nil! Needless to say this put a dampener on our holiday.

Next time I'll drive or make sure I only have hand luggage.
