Briggs and Stratton Corporation Complaint - Defective Engine

Review by jrtlwomer@yahoo.com on 2001-05-14
READING, PENNSYLVANIA -- I purchased a Simplicity Lawn Tractor with a Briggs & Stratton Engine in 1996. During Mid Year 2000 the engine started malfunctioning. I was informed by B&S Technical Department that the engine produced was defective (based on serial number and model), however - that it was out of warranty so nothing could be done to resolve this.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:

I want my engine repaired or replaced.

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.

If the Manufacturer knew it was defective then they should notify all owners and replace all affected models
