CellarBrokers Complaint - Danger Cellar Brokers Is A Rip Off

Review by prosecco on 2008-12-22
HIGHLANDS, NEW JERSEY -- I ordered 6 bottles of wine from CellarBrokers on November 11, 2008. They charged my credit card a week later.

As of today, December 22, 2008, I still have not received the wine. Their 800 phone number either doesn't pick up or gives a message saying that the answering machine is full. On one call, I connected with the answering machine, where I left a detailed message. I received no reply to my message. On another call, I was connected finally to a person, who immediately hung up on me. The rest of the calls did not get through. I get the message machine even during business hours on weekdays.

Now I see that others have reported that this business is a scam. Too bad I didn't check first.

Thanks for the warning, I will be sure to avoid these guys. While it seems like this company is not the best to do business with, are you sure it is because of the company that the wine has not yet been delivered? I was under the impression that NJ did not allow for direct to consumer wine sales through the mail, so that may be what is holding it up.
