Target.com Complaint - False Advertising Get Your Order By Christmas
CARROLLTON, TEXAS -- Advertises implies you can receive your order by Christmas if ordered by 12/18. Our order was placed December 17th we received notice December 22nd 6:10 pm our order would deliver between dates of December 29th – January 5th. The notice received is 8 - 13 business days not the 4 – 5 business days advertised. Also the website advertised free shipping which was not honored.
Target.com customer service was contacted December 22nd 8pm for Order Number: 602-5859525-3681032 in an effort to correct the delayed shipment. After much difficulty with department switching got a live representative online Thomas (refused to provide last name or other means of ID) offer no help only apology and then I request supervisor, Erine who offered 2 replacement toys that he committed would deliver by Christmas. Unfortunately I had already purchased these toys at a target store and they were in no way comparable to the toys ordered and I would have to pay overnight shipping charge they were in no way concerned with my dilemma or offered any more than apology which is certainly no help at this late date.
After over an hour on the phone with Target.com customer service trying to resolve this no resolution was provided and when I inquired about canceling the order. I was told to reject the delivery and could not cancel.
Our first grandson will receive his Christmas gifts many days after Christmas.
