Travelocity Complaint - Vacation Denied
We purchased a vacation package to the Bahamas on 11/2/08 for travel from 12/21/08 to 12/27/08. Upon arrival at the airport my 3 daughters were denied a boarding pass because we were told that their passports would expire within 6 months of our departure date. They are valid until 3/14/09. I spent over an hour on the phone with Travelocity, and was told it was my fault! Upon arrival at home I received an e-mail stating that I had cancelled the vacation and they were going to only refund $1875!
I have reviewed the Travelocity website again and have found no reference whatsoever to this "6 month rule". It only stated that I would need the correct travel documentation. At the time of purchase I checked the US Department of State "Bahamas passport requirements" and there is no reference to this " 6 month rule".
We are out over $2390 and had no vacation.
