Ford Motor Complaint - recall standards are awful
KANSAS -- My husband and I own a 1998 ford windstar, this particular year as well as others had recalls on the coil springs and spring sheilds do to corrozion. However it only applied applied to people in certain states and only those people were notified of the problem. I had the same problem with my van, and had it fixed and was costly, I called ford and they said there is nothing they can do cuz it was fixed after the recall came out (by two months). Well what i want to know is why you can't tell everyone or at least be responsible to all those that had the same faulty equipment in and on their vehicle. You claimed responsibility for those in the states the recall was put in the least you could have done was give everyone the option. Had I gotten a notice, My springs could have been fixed before the broke while i was driving. And your customer service lacks so much obviously they are the highest people in your company that anyone can talk to, and they are doing no one any service.
