Dish Network Complaint - Dish Network Scam
MIZE, MISSISSIPPI -- In May of this year (08), we were was contacted by someone claiming to be a representative for AT&T and Dish. We we informed we could switch to Dish from Direct, bundle the two and be able to receive DSL all on one bill for a low low price. Since we live in a remote area and DSL has always been at the top of our wish list we were overjoyed to say the least (you dial up folks know what I mean). We signed up and two days later Dish had their service installed but no DSL as promised. After countless calls to Dish we were referred back to AT&T and in turn AT&T would refer us back to Dish. Bottom line, DSL is not available in our area nor is there any hope of it being available any time soon. Now we are under contract to Dish and have the option buy out the contract if we were to go back to Direct. I am considering making the switch and if Dish wants to sue me then so be it. I'll see them in court.
One CSR(88J) at Dish's special purpose(?) center was very rude and made a feeble attempt to convince me I were an imbecile to even question his superiority and vast knowledge after which he transferred me to AT&T, again.
Anyone who has Direct TV keep it. Do not fall prey to Dish's deceptive practices and out right scams!
