Allied Home Warranty (Texas) Complaint - Failure To Adhere To Contractual Agreement

Review by Moose5 on 2008-12-25
PILOT POINT, TEXAS -- Allied Home Warranty sells home warranty contracts for Texas. I purchased one, including extra charges for coverage of my pool. Their warranty states that they will cover "all above ground components and parts that affect operation of the heating, pumping and filtration systems."

They have refused to cover a pump/motor assembly, covering only the less expensive parts. They have also refused to repair a heater which is inoperable due to a control panel problem, stating that is not covered.

I would not sue over such relatively minor expenses (total = about $1,000; however, I would never renew with them and caution anyone else to find an alternative company. There are several good ones.
