Pep Boys Complaint - Pepboys Screwing Employees
Pep boys is screwing us. They are stealing our vacation time. We need some representation to fight this Goliath. They are putting it to us.. This is what is up. After you work for this company after your anniversary date you have earned vacation. This amount varies depends on how long you have been with them. their new plan is to pay you off for the vacation you have already earned, at a percentage. This is where it is wrong! That vacation has already been earned and has a value. For instance if you were to quit you would receive a check for the amount of hoursXrate! Not a percentage. This is corporate theft. Also this is in affect the beginning of the year. Keep in mind vacation was earned after a years worth of work. So an employee who was hired 15 January 12 years ago is entitled to 3 weeks vacation on that date. Under the new plan he would have to work the whole new year to earn it.
Yes vacation is available immediately but if you leave the company before it is earned they will deduct it from your pay. It was already earned in the previous year!! Not the forthcoming year!!
