Warranty Parts Availability - Complaint
Review by exdcop on 2008-12-26
MILES CITY, MONTANTA -- My daughter took her 07 Buick Acadia in to the local GM Dealership (Notbohm Motors in Miles City, MT) as it was leaking power steering fluid. The checked the problem and found that the power steering hose was routed poorly and that it had worn through in three places due to contact with the frame and engine. They told her they ordered a new hose and it would be here on the 23rd of Dec. As of today, Dec. 26, it is still not here. I went in to check on when it would be available and was told that it was back ordered and that it could be quite a while before they would get it from GM. Now with GM facing possible bankruptsy it would seem they would want to deal with warranty work quickly so that they could keep what reputation they have left. That is not the case and I am very sorry that I still have GM stock and now understand one of the reasons they are in the financial condition that they are in. We had a death in our family on the 22nd and she and her family were planning on going to the funeral in Helena, MT on the 28th with a snow storm currently in MT but that is not possible now because of the poor service and the lack of availability of parts for GM's Buick product line.
I will take the hit on my stock but if this is how customers are treated by GM they deserve to go under. I personally own a Jaguar and I have had nothing but outstanding service and cooperation from them unlike GM.
