Old Navy Complaint - Bad Customer Service At Old Navy
I recently went to Old Navy on Boxing Day, and attended the "i want a freebie" event. Free mp3 players were handed out to the first customers in line. In the fine print, it stated that the customer must be 16 or older, but did not state that photo identification was required. When I lined up for the wristband for the mp3 player, I was met with a disgruntled, inconsiderate, and downright nasty employee, who believed that I did not meet the age requirement. Now, I understand that often, some form of identification is required for this type of event. However, because of the lack of explicit information regarding any type of required identification in the fine print, I did not bring the photo identification demanded by the employee. I attempted to explain and clarify this with the employee just for future reference, but was instead met with his snappish responses and unjustifiably judgmental attitude. Later, when I attempted to ask the same employee about some clothing, I was again facing an unhelpful, and extremely impatient employee. The reason for my complaint is not the fact that I did not get a wristband for the freebie. It is, however, the experience with the customer service at Old Navy.
I will be avoiding shopping at Old Navy in the future. Who wants to be met with such unpleasant service, especially during the festive holiday season?
