Jenkins Hyundai Complaint - Saw Her Coming
LAKE COUNTY, FL, FLORIDA -- On two separate occasions I sent my wife with our BRAND NEW Hyundai to get minor inexpensive service done. On both occasions because she was a woman, and easily taken advantage of, she came back with these huge bills for service performed on the car which was absolutely unnecessary. Not only has Jenkins Hyundai lost our service business but we will no longer consider buying another vehicle there.
In addition, we both grew up here, know many people and will be sure to spread the word not to bend over while at Jenkins Hyundai in Leesburg Florida.
Hyundai of Leesburg would like you to believe that their service technicians have your best interests at heart. What they are interested in is the mean green $$$$$$$$$$$$$ They will pressure you into having perfectly good parts replaced with new ones or tell you that according to Hyundai that at this mile marker this item should be replaced. I drove an escort gt for 200,000 miles before the cam drive belt broke and there was no collision between the valves and pistons when it did break. Your telling me that the one on the Hyundai needs replacing at 60,000 for what $700.00 and then I found out that if the belt breaks the pistons will collide with the valves and cause $2000.00 damage. If a car manufacturer 25 years ago could build a long lasting belt and there was clearance between the pistons when it did break, why did you go backwards to this arrangement, duh------you have built in maintenance issues that must be addressed.... so the cost of the car repairs will exponentially increase "built in high maintenance costs".
