Lowe's Complaint - Defective Washing Machine
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- Lowe's sold me a defective Whirlpool front-loading washing machine. I believe someone else actually purchased it first and had the good sense to return this lemon in the first 30 days. There was already bleach in the washing machine when I washed my first load. (Ruined a load of clothes.) It doesn't spin the clothes dry, I usually have to spin them twice....so much for saving energy! During the spin cycle the machine sounds like a jet barreling down the runway. The machine jumps around so much that it has torn up my floor. I literally have to throw my body over the machine during the spin cycle to keep it in place. I've had 8 service calls on this turkey and Lowe's refuses to take it back.
The matching dryer is also a piece of ....
It leaves big wet spots on the clothes and wrinkles the rest so badly that they have to be rewashed to get the wrinkles out. (Energy efficient? I think not.) The dryer can handle only 2 pair of pants at a time, any more than that and the dryer will burn them...no joke.
Also, the dryer is extremely loud. It's hard to have a conversation in my house when this dryer is operating.
I wish I would have kept the harvest gold top-loader and matching dryer that I inherited from my Grandma!
