Southwest Airlines Complaint - Late Baggage - Baggage Service
DALLAS -- Due to a delayed flight from Amarillo to Dallas I was put on an earlier flight. When I checked in I was never told my original flight was delayed nor was I given the option of taking the earlier flight so that my bag would arrive with me. I was told they were trying to get all the bags on the flight I was taking but that didn't happen. When I went to baggage service I was told that in order to get my bag delivered it would be cash on delivery but no amount was ever quoted.
I was given a number to call a manager which turned out to be Customer Service and they could not connect me with either of the Managers who dealt with Baggage in Dallas. I called the number given me by a supervisor saying if I called it they would bring my bag to me at the curb. Customer Service told me to call that number and ask to speak to one of the managers. I called that number and only got an message with other numbers and asking if I needed something to leave a message. So, much for a number that would allow me to get my bag a curb side. The delay in flight was Southwest fault due to mechanical difficulty.
My contention is they should then get me my bag without additional cost. So much for no fees and customer service with Southwest.
