Old Navy Informative - Exchange Policy & Customer Service - Horrible!!!
My husband received a shirt for Christmas from Old Navy that didn't fit properly. He received it without a gift receipt and when I went in to get a larger size of the same shirt they did not have the size in stock.
I wanted to exchange the shirt for one that was very similar and the exact same price... and they refused to let me exchange it. That is ridiculous... its an Old Navy shirt.. not like it could have been purchased in another store.
I worked for the Gap for 5 years (which is the same company) and at that time they would never have let the customer leave upset. To top it all off when I called the customer service 1-800 # they did nothing to rectify the situation... only get me more upset by saying "sorry, but that is our policy" and proceeded to hang up on me.
It's a BAD policy!!! they are not losing money with an exchange only making a customer happy. They have not just lost a customer because of this experience they have lost many - I will make sure of it!
If this was an un-branded item I could see why a store wouldn't take it back - but with OLD NAVY on the tag... WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE!!!
Horrible customer service! Horrible store! Don't bother with them... there are so many other stores with customer friendly return policies - stores that WANT business... Not GO OUT OF BUSINESS!
