United Parcel Service Complaint - Package Delivery... NOT
TENINO, WASHINGTON -- The last time UPS was supposed to deliver, they didn't ... and didn't ... and didn't ... and wouldn't allow me to pick up the package in person until after they had spent a week trying to deliver it to my home. They told me they had to do this when I called them after the first futile attempt and told them nobody would be here to sign. Great use of resources, huh?
Now ... granted we've had a bit of snow ... but today - December 29 - they delivered 2 packages, but not the third one that I REALLY need that was supposed to have been delivered by December 23. The website still says that there has been an "exception" due to snow - no other information. (They must have missed the relatively snowless road to my house today? But ... oh yeah! They did deliver two OTHER packages that hadn't been held up by snow.) - and a phone call to nowhere indicates that at 8pm tonight the package is still out for delivery. Oh ... and it may be on the wrong truck. Oh yeah ... and they may be 'out' until midnight (so the website instructions that they have until 7pm are wrong?). Oh yeah ... and they have no idea what driver or what truck has my package. This is the useless information that I was given after waiting 30 minutes for them to pick up the phone.
If UPS really wanted to provide customer service, they would keep their website updated, give us a local phone number to call, and allow package pickup at reasonable after-work hours or, gasp, maybe even Saturday mornings.
Fed Ex employees worked on Christmas to deliver packages to our snowbound area - but not UPS. UPS sucks.
