My GE Dishwasher was recalled and I was promised a $150 rebate for replacing it with another GE dishwasher. So I did. I guess I was naive thinking I would actually get the rebate.
I was also promised a delivery rebate from Home Depot and I received it within 4 weeks.
GE uses a company named RebatesHQ to 'process' their rebates. Yeah, right. It's been over 8 weeks now and it is impossible to get information from them. The phone numbers are automated and cannot get a live person. All I get are canned responses to emails. I called GE and got a nice lady but she just called back and advised me she could get no information on the rebate status. I was told to call RebatesHQ again in 4 weeks. Why? If you can't get a human and only canned responses from emails...?
I asked the lady, Rose, from GE if I should just write it off but she assured me I would get it. But no idea of when. If GE can't get info from the company they hired I wonder what she thinks I am going to get? It's not the money now - I am not giving up on this!
I hope GE didn't check out their rebate company prior to hiring them - because they have such a poor reputation.
