GMAC Auto Loans Complaint - Don't Ever Ask For A 60 Day Extension

Review by ivehadit on 2008-12-31
RIVERSIDE, NEW JERSEY -- During this economy crisis I called GMAC and asked them for a 60 day extension on my 2 vehicles. Well that was the worst mistake I ever could have made. I have been nothing but harassed by GMAC since I've since this phone call to them. Whenever they call me I have to tell them that I am doing an extension on my autos then they tell me I have to pay the extension fee now. According to the paperwork that they sent me it states that I can pay the extension fee now or pay at the end of my lease agreement. In a nut shell they are telling me I'm not reading it correctly. I have faxed the paperwork to them 7 times and they still won't leave me alone. I had to stop answering my phone because they are stressing me out. My Silverado is being financed and is also on a 60 day extension which means I break the payments down into 2 instead of one but to make a long story short I did my end of the bargain by paying one portion on line the 30th and that still was no good because I was 96 cents short.

Take it from me please do not ask GMAC for anything because once you do you will be harassed all of the time regardless if you take the right procedures to make payments on your cars and the fact of being responsible I guess means nothing to them.

Maybe you should remind them when they call back where their last 6 billion dollars came from. Your pocket and mine! Apparently they are the one's that don't know how to manage their money. Good luck in dealing with these people.

Thank you memoryx57 for your comment. I tried to speak to them but they are out of hand. I will remind them next time of the bail out but I'm scared tht they will take my car from my husband and I.

Im having a horrible problem with GMAC presently. You can't reason with these people, and they certainly do not take responsibility for their actions, either. I hope it all works out for you!
