General Electric Company Complaint - Defective Heating Element In Spectra Electric Range
In mid-Dec 2008, I was baking a pizza in my GS Spectra electric range. After about 10 minutes cooking at 400 F, a fire erupted in the oven. The heating element connected to the bottom of the oven split in 3 sections and caught fire. Fortunately, the fire went out when I shut-off the range.
GE should recall this model oven (manufactured in 2003)and replace part for all customers at no charge.
