As for the use of DVDs, it worked fine. But I play 10 audio CDs to every 1 DVD, so audio CD playing behavior was very important. I expect it to Auto Play when closing the tray, and I want to see the track number and time counter on the display. At home I was impressed with the features. Then I used the Programming function of the audio CD. I programmed it (for example) to play 1, 3, 7, 8. When you begin the playback, after song 1 ends, song 3 will start and play for 2 seconds, then stop, then begin itself again. Same thing again after that song is done, it will play song 7 for 2 seconds, stop and begin itself again. I called their tech support where the rep was baffled and said it was probably defective and to swap it. I went through a big hassle to exchange it. I brought home the replacement which did the EXACT same thing. I called Samsung again where they promised to send a free shipping label so it could be sent out for repair. Two weeks later when nothing came, I called and found that the rep "forgot" to put in my address but this 2nd rep PROMISED the label was being sent out that day. Two more weeks, nothing. I called again and found out that he too did not send me anything. That was strike 4. Samsung's customer support is the pits. I returned the player for a refund.
