Medco Complaint - Change Doctor Prescription
COLORADO -- My doctor ordered 3 tubes of a medication for a 3 month's supply, as Medco (instructs it's customers to get from their doctors). I had this same medication from Medco in 2004 for the exact amount and their was no problem. This time the pharmacist decided to change the amount without consulting the doctor or myself. I was sent only one tub. When I questioned this, I was told that according the the pharmacist calculations I only needed ONE tube for 3 month's supply. The purpose of Medco and ordering a 3 month's supply is to save the customer money. What is happening here? Can a pharmacist do this without consulting the doctor. I pay the same for 1 tube as I do for 3 tubes. Who is saving money here?
I asked and the doctor was not consulted! How can I trust this company? Where do I file a complaint?
