Air Canada Complaint - Rude Flight Attendant
My friend was traveling on an Air Canada domestic flight this week. He is British and the politest person I know. He was a bit shocked at the treatment he received from the Air Canada flight attendant, who seemed to think that making fun of passengers is acceptable.
When asked what drink he would like, my friend said "Orange juice, please". The male flight attendant then proceeded to imitate his accent in a mocking sing-song fashion, repeating "Orange juice, please. Orange juice, please." My friend was really surprised and kept quiet. Upon receiving his drink, he said "Thank you very much" and the rude flight attendant said sarcastically, "No, thank YOU very much. Thank you for ordering your juice. And thank you SO much for flying Air Canada" before he walked off.
I don't know what is wrong with people like that. I am so embarrassed that Canada's airline represents us in a way that does NOT reflect how typical Canadians behave. All the bitter, angry and hostile Air Canada employees should leave, if they hate their jobs so much, and let people with better attitudes take over.
I should mention that I did talk to a very helpful (and polite! gasp!) Air Canada agent when I had to re-book my flight during the recent storms in Toronto.... even if I had to wait on hold for over an hour to reach him... So there are still some decent ones out there.
