Apple Computer Inc Complaint - Fraudulent Practices
NEW YORK -- My iPod Nano, which is still under warranty, stopped working properly- i.e. the menu button stopped responding. Everything else still works correctly. I took the iPod to the genius bar and was told that the iPod must have gotten wet, because there is a pink strip. This iPod was only used by me, and was never placed in an environment that was wet, so my obvious question is whether apple computers has deliberately manufactured this set up to avoid honoring their warranty. In fact, I brought the ipod to another authorized repair store and was told that in fact there may not have been water damage.
Since then, I have read about this problem with apple many times, and am wondering if anyone is aware of a possible investigation and class action suit against apple for this?
