Best Buy Complaint - Unhappy With The Geek Squad And Machine
MANASSAS, VIRGINIA -- My husband and I purchased and HP mini and a service that allowed the geek squad to install anti-spyware and anti-virus software on the machine. We were told it would take 1 1/2 hours. It took 3 1/2 hours. We took it home and it would not connect to any wireless network. I called Best Buy geek squad and talked to someone who said the machine may be defective. We took it back and exchanged it for another HP mini. We left it overnight for the geek squad to install the software. The next day we picked it up but before leaving, we asked the geek squad to prove that it connected to a wireless network. It did not. They claimed one of their router's cables was unhooked. Them the machine connected. We changed to another site and it no longer connected we switched it to the site that connected in the first place and it did not connect. Geek Squad was not very helpful. We ended up returning the item. Not impressed with the geek squad at all. None of the people we spoke to seemed to know what to do. Very disappointed.
We wanted the notebook computer to take on a trip. Now we will be going on the trip without a notebook computer. We also had a problem with Best Buy when we bought an all-in-one printer.
