Italian Pizza Kitchen Complaint - Deceptive Business Practices

RESEDA, CALIFORNIA -- We've ordered from this place often in the past. Pretty ordinary food, but its a half a block away and we like to support local businesses. Apparently it changed hands a month or so ago. Because of the holidays we hadn't ordered from them recently, but tried last night. I called, placed my order, and let them know I had one of their coupons. He asked which one and I described it and he said he couldn't find it, but he'd check with his manager and call me back in five minutes. After 15 minutes I called back and he said they wouldn't honor the coupon as they hadn't issued it. I told him I was sure it was from their establishment and offered to drop by and show it to them. I walked over and showed them the five color flier I had from their restaurant (same logo, address, and phone number). He said he was the owner and had bought the place a month ago and had never issued the flier I had (and claimed it was an attempt by a competitor to damage his business - a coupon for free buffalo wings with a large pizza!). I told him I'd received the flier before he bought the business. He refused to honor it or provide any discount whatsoever. I told him if he was going to take over a business and not change the name, he should realize that not honoring the flier was false advertising and a dishonest business practice.

He continued to refuse to acknowledge his responsibility in any way. As the pizza, etc. isn't that good anyway - I decided to shop elsewhere.
