Airline Complaints Actually Resolved Informative - Airline Complaint Resolved!

After months of complaining to Northwest Airlines for taking my husband off a flight, under the guise that the flight was cancelled (which it really wasn't cancelled at all), I actually found a website and agency that gets results.

File a complaint to www.airconsumer.dot.gov

While we were on vacation, we received a voicemail and email from NWA that referenced our complaint file with the above website. Suddenly they were able to put my husband back on his original flight, after all.

Its nice to know that there really is a "sheriff" in the airline industry--and one that gets results!

Sadly the Sheriff is Barney Fife.
I suspect your ticket was reissued because the FAA explained it in a reasonable manner. As far as complaints, they have no teeth. Remember the pax "bill of rights" where did that go?
Reasoning and being reasonable are always the keys to getting what you want with airlines.

It's also a good idea to download and print a copy of the airlines terms of carriage. It helps when one has a dispute with an airline. You can use their own contract to convince them to provide a service.
