United Parcel Service Complaint - New Company Policy: Lying
ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON -- I've had trouble getting UPS packages delivered to me three times now. I have a clearly marked driveway, so I don't know what the problem is. At one delivery attempt, the driver left my package in my DEAD mailbox - where it sat for almost a month before it was discovered! My husband went to the center and drew a MAP for the center manager! That was the only reason I got the reordered package.
Well it has happened again. My shipper sent out my pkg. 12/8. When 12/27 arrived and no package, a search was started. UPS told the shipper that there was an "address correction", then another story of "delivery denied". I wrote an email to UPS telling them that there is NO way that it was denied, I'm home all day, every day! Another email said that the package WAS delivered - to my door!! They said they would forward my info to the center and someone would contact me before 4:00 PM the next day - no one ever called.
Today yet another email from UPS tells me that the package has been returned to the shipper! So that makes the driver AND the center manager both lying about their actions. Is this a new company policy - that lying is acceptable to cover up mistakes or just sheer laziness?
Just yesterday the UPS truck went flying by my house, on another road not 40 feet away from my driveway! Is it because my driveway is a bit long? I have stated on my package notes to leave at gate.
I always thought UPS was the gold standard in shipping. How sad to experience just the opposite.
