Air Canada Complaint - Air Canada's Staggering Ineptitude....
OSAKA JAPAN -- Air Chaos does it again. My story is just one of thousands from this holiday period but it gives you an idea of how these guys operate. Air Canada representative checks us in but forgets 'one last transaction' and we are not on the actual flight list and so aren't allowed through the departure gates. We get on the next flight which is diverted to Victoria, B. C. as the Vancouver airport suddenly closes due to weather. We wait two hours on the tarmac in Victoria and then are led through the rain and darkness down the tarmac with our 6-month old baby into the terminal. We were promised food/hotel vouchers inside...yeah right. No voucher codes could be found and we are told we must find our own hotels. Head to baggage carousel to find that all FOUR of our bags have been lost. No clothes, no cell phone, no diapers, no baby food, nothing. It's 10pm and all the Air Canada staff have conveniently disappeared. Information Desk closed. We watch as Westjet arranges taxis and hotels for their stranded customers.
We are now back home in Japan with no bags (thousands of dollars in items lost) and Air Canada refuses to answer any emails or phone calls. This company should not be allowed to operate. Beware.
