Verizon Complaint - Over Charged For Home Phone Services
WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- I have been a Verizon customer since they were ATT. I changed my telephone service package in January 2008 from Freedom Extra to Verizon freedom. I went from paying 62.99 per month to 45.00 per month, at least thats what I thought. They were charging my account for both packages, my husband who rarely looks over the bill, kept paying it every month until he asked me why is our Verizon bill so much. I said with DSL and the Freedom package it suppose to be $89.99 per month, so I looked at the bills from February to June and we were being charged for both packages. I called Verizon to let them know and they of course apologized and said that they will credit my account, in which they did, but they still charged me for both services. I looked at the bill in September because my husband paid it in July and August and I noticed we were still being billed. I called them again they apologized and told me that I was the only customer they had that this has happened to. They credited my account again, but still was forwarding a bogus balance from previous months, and then added an internet game package which was never authorized by my husband or myself. I called them again, the customer service representative apologized and said he is personally going to take care of this, and told me how much I had to pay and that my bill should be correct. Well I have been paying them $100.00 per month, although my bill should be $89.00 per month but they claim, we have past due balances.
I cannot believe a company would over charge your account credit you, and then recharge you. They are now saying they have to go back and review everything and we should receive a credit for the over charging of the internet game package on our bill next month. Please review your Verizon bill's carefully. You will be charged for any and everything and not know it, if you do not pay attention.
