Target Complaint - Outlandish Customer Service
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- I purchased a Guitar Hero for my son for Christmas. He gave it a try and it wasn't something he was interested in. We took it back to Target so that he might exchange it for something more fun for him. I had a receipt and did not think this was going to end up as it did. The Customer Service Clerk was confrontational from the start. She made us feel that we were trying to get away with something. She stated the policy which to me is very unclear. How does a video game become an electronic? The policy also states the word "some". Who decides the "some"? How do you know ahead of time whether you like something or not? Basically we were told we could exchange it for the same item only. Then she laughed at us because none of their stores had the item in stock. My son was willing to purchase another $100 toward additional games. We wanted to apply the cost of the Guitar Hero toward the additional purchase. The clerk was in over her head so another clerk came to her assistance. I inquired as to who she was, her response, "I'm your worst nightmare" Outlandish Customer Service! I asked them to dial their Corporate Hot Line they did, the woman on the other end of the phone was the rudest person I have ever dealt with.
Bottom line...I will NEVER again purchase anything from a Target store. No one from their Corporate office ever contacted me or tried to help resolve the situation. My worst nightmare told me to go shop at Walmart. I will gladly accommodate her request. Shame on you Target.
