McAfee Complaint - McAfee's Little Curve Ball
GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA -- About a year ago, I purchased some McAfee software from a local retail chain for $39.00. The software was good for one year and was authorized to use on up to 3 P. C.s. I used McAfee for about a year and my subscription ran out. I opted to change to another provider altogether for my computer protection needs. After months of not using McAfee, I notice a charge on my bank acct. for about $95.00. I called McAfee and they said in so many words that they had taken it upon themselves to renew my subscription at almost 3x s the original purchase price of my software. Man I was heated (and am heated). I called customer service and get some lady in another country that can hardly speek English and she wants my credit card # and other private info; like who in the hell (that is in their right mind) is going to give her that, when they don't know her from Adam or even if she is really even employed with McAfee. That's a whole other story altogether. It has been almost 2 days and my money has not been returned. I am so fed up with this kind of bull-crap that I prob. will never conduct business online ever again and definitely not with McAfee.
I just want to know two things; Is anyone honest anymore and why do these big corporations continue to betray their own fellow Americans by employing foreigners who speak horrible English and who probably hate our guts to begin with.
