Celtic Insurance Complaint - Really Poor Rating On Policy Renewal And General Refunds

Review by moxx on 2009-01-09
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- I obtained a Celtic Insurance policy in July of 07. Since then my premium has been increased 3 times! I have shopped other companies and Blue Cross Blue Shield is significantly less expensive. When I called to cancel my premium they do not prorate and could not offer any reimbursement during the benefit month since it has been 9 days.

They are not very in tuned to customer service, and the person on the phone was lifeless!

Typically with health insurance you have to cancel and enroll on the beginning of the month.
I would like to say that there is one helpful vote on this (?????) and it isn't me even though I'm the only response. Do they give out prizes for the person that votes the most reviews helpful or something???

I am unfamilar with Celtic Insurance but with the BC coverage we have at my office, there is no proration. If an employee terminates during the month, regardless of the date, coverage is extended to the last day of the month.

Celtic insurance has not been the same since Larry Bird retired.
