Triad Dodge Complaint - Sold Our Car to Someone Else

Review by maresdz on 2004-02-04
WINSTON SALEM, NC -- We were informed our loan was approved and to come sign the papers. I got there right after work to pick up the car just to find them selling it to someone else! No apologies. Absolutely poor customer service. Never admitted they made a mistake. Naturally, we'll NEVER buy a car from Triad Dodge in Winston-Salem, NC or the other dealerships owned by this partnership (Parkway Ford, Volvo).

It was your car, why didn't you interfere with the sale? Whoever sold that car had to go through the finance person, and obviously someone did not do their job, or the sale should have fallen through.

I did try to interfere. They didn't care in the least. They just tried to sell us another car, which we wanted no part of. They told us the other buyer's deal went through first - which is fine if that did happen. But why were we told to come down and sign the papers? I'm still stuck on that point.

When purchasing a car try to place a deposit on the vehicle when you decide to buy that way there is no excuses. To many times I have seen consumers tell dealers they want a car and never take delivery so many dealers take the stance of first come first serve. By leaving a deposit on the vehicle it shows your intent to purchase and several states have laws to prohibit this type of situation from occuring. Good Luck
