Midas - Quakertown, PA Complaint - Bad Customer Service, Poor Repair Service

Review by fabricator on 2009-01-10
QUAKERTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA -- This place used to be a trusted place to have my cars serviced. Recently this shop changed management and seems to have lost their AAA Certification. New management does not make an effort to explain more details with what is wrong with your car, and what scares most, they do not perform all the promised work. Recently I've brought my car for State and Safety Inspection, only to find out that they never checked the tire pressure (it was almost flat when we brought in, and was returned under same conditions). Now, how did they perform a Safety Inspection and approved it without even checking a simple tire pressure? This event and repeated bad customer service have changed my mind on trusting this shop.

There are other alternatives to this shop in the area, avoid this Midas if you are looking a "reliable" shop.

Maybe they filled your tire with air and you had a slow leak when you picked it up. I think this is a little extreme to complain about something so small that you should check yourself for safety purposes. I had a great experience and they went above and beyond normal mechanic job experiences. If this is the one in Quakertown, it's a good shop. I don't know about the others.

I was reading the above commment and tire pressure is not sometimes correct the safety inspections. If you had just asked them to check tire pressure I'm sure they would have been more than happy to take care of it.
