EBay Complaint - Returned Defective Item But Never Received Replacement!
Last September 2008 purchased an Invidia 7600 GS video card on Ebay from a power seller based in Hong Kong. Received the card 21 days after order. Item was paid by Paypal on day of order. When I received the video card it was defective. I contacted by email the Seller which assured me there was no problem to return the item and that a new one would be mailed to me as soon as he had received the defective one. I then waited approximately 2 weeks, emailed the seller and he replied saying item was not defective (yeah right!) and if I wanted to re-order the same video card or a different kind. I ordered a similar version of the first. Well I still have never received any type of card....but I had to pay out $30.00 to ship card back to Hong Kong and $8.00 more to receive the replacement card in which I never received! Item was said to have been shipped out November 5th 2008. I have since contacted the Seller and eBay several times. The Seller has not replied and eBay has notified me that since I had passed the 45 day time line, they could no longer help me. So really I've paid out approximately $125.00 Canadian and I have gotten nothing!!!!
Through this I've learned that if you're wise enough or devious enough..all you have to do is make the other guy hang around for a while so time can go by and you can get away with free money and no one can post a negative comment or warning on eBay since it has taken 45+ days to try and complete a transaction!!!! This is RIDICULOUS!!! My warning to you is even though a power Seller has 98% positive feed back.....think of all of us who have not been able to post our negative feed back because of some stupid time line.
By the way Paypal can't credit me neither because it's been over 60 days...who knew people can get away with such injustice!
