Delta Airlines Complaint - Nightmare Flight & Missing Baggage
MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA -- My friend was scheduled on a flight from Turkey to Pittsburgh, PA having connections in Rome and New York. He would take a ride from Pittsburgh to to Morgantown, WV to start school and work. First thing was that when he went to the airport in Turkey to check-in, the personnel gave him only one boarding pass and told him that he would get his other boarding passes in Rome.
Unfortunately, when he arrived at Rome, he couldn't go through the Transit section since he didn't have a boarding pass. No one could understand English so he was taken by the police officers!! He had 2 hours connection time with no boarding pass. An hour later he managed to get a print out to be a temporary boarding pass and could barely make it in time for his flight to New York.
His baggage did not show up when he arrived at New York and he had a tough time getting through customs without the supposed to be present baggage.
It has been a week, both of us have been calling the customer service at Atlanta everyday multiple times, no answer. We have been calling Delta on multiple airlines and they are saying that there is nothing that they can do. We also e-mailed customer services, no response.
My friend started school and work with nothing to wear but his clothes from the flight! We still do not know when and if the baggage will arrive. He also had his cell phone charger in his luggage so his cell phone is dead. The whole experience was a nightmare. It was our first experience with Delta and I am pretty sure it will be our last.
