Asiativ.com.au Complaint - Hotel Booking Scam - Booking of Best Western Hotel

Review by beeebeee on 2009-01-16
Never use Asiativ.com also known as Asiaonline online travel booking, I believe they are a scam.

I booked and paid for 2 nights at a Best Western hotel 3 months before check in. The day before I was to check in I received an email from Asiativ.com advising that my booking had been cancelled without an explanation and they would refund my credit card with 2 weeks. 6 weeks later and several emails I still have not been refunded.

I have contacted Best Western who were unhelpful and the management team of Asiativ.com, who won’t reply to my emails.

I have no expectations of being refunded.

I live in hope but please do not get involved with the company I would hate the same to happen to you.

Usually a 10% deposit is required when booking online. When you have to pay the entire amount upfront that should raise a red flag.
Hope you get your money back.

I'd find contact information and sue them in small claims.

Keep the confirmation of your itinerary and the cancellation email where they promised you a refund. I think you could also get an additional penalty since they cancelled within 24 hours and failed to provide explanation.

If you used a credit card, call the issuer and dispute the amount.

Soaring, it appears from the information provided as well as the URL that the OP provided that this company may be located overseas. Consulting an attorney or filing a lawsuit is not always the answer.
