Hartford Financial Services Complaint - Tampering with Evidence

I will tell this (my) story to everyone that I know.
About 3 years ago, my husband was hurt on the job. The insurance carrier was Hartford. Hartford hired a private investigating company to follow my husband. And with all the fraud out there, they had every right. However, when we reviewed the videos, there were many parts of the video that had been deleated. Of course they gave every excuse in the book as to why there were gaps in the video. Now in Polk County Florida, it happened agian. This time it was actually proven that the tapes were tampered with. While Mr. & Mrs. Griffin VS. Publix trial was taking place, the defense accidentally put in the 'original' video tape. This video was different indeed of the one that had been supplied to the Griffins' attorney. When it was realized what had taken place, the judge called in the State Attorney and the videos were confiscated. Believe it or not, they even video taped one of her children in a public bathroom. So if you know anyone out there that has had the same thing happen, encourage them to research this. You never know...it could happen to you.

I have had a very bad experience with this company.I have been off work since Sept.99. They are still refusing my short -term and long -term benefits.I have Dr.statement that I am disabled to work.I am not the only Wal-Mart employee that has been beat out of their benefits.I have even got my Social Security Disability with a disability date of Oct.4,99.HARTFORD still refusing my benefits.Wal-Mart employees "BEWARE".

I worked for Wal-mart for 9yrs.Carried Hartford short-term and long-term ins.became unable to work and have repeatly been denied any ins.benefits since Sept.1999(even tho I got my Social Security benefits}.Disability date was Oct.1999. I have numerous health problems including HBP,Arthritis, Lupus and spastic colon[had surgery during my leave losing 1/4 of my colon and 8-10 in.of my small intestines. Have been been humiliated by Hartford and told ""IF YOU ARE ABLE TO GET UP OUT OF BED AND GO THE BATHROOM YOU ARE ABLE TO WORK".They deny getting REGISTERED MAIL.Told me 2 weeks ago they were going to give me a settlement. Now MAY 22,2001 they go back on their word and deny my claim AGAIN. I am not the only Wal-mart associate that has had PROBLEMS with this company. I have been unfairly denied my benefits.YOU CANNOT LEAN ON THIS COMPANY WHEN YOU ARE SICK!!!!!!!!

This is horribale. I had a neighbor that this happened to also. I am not sure if it was hartford, but, nome the less, no insurance company should be able to get away with this. Most people are good people, yet insurance companies want to make us look like the bad guys.

I know of several people that have been denied benefits by this company.Unfortunately two have deceased,but were ruled not sick by the company. Over the DR. word. When has this company gone over the limit?

Go to speakout.com, there is a petition that you can sign. It will never change until everyone gets together and does more than post mwssages on a board. Go to Hartford.com and give them direct feedback.
