Access America Complaint - Watch Out For Access America And Jefferson Insurance Co.
WASHINGTON -- I purchased an airline ticket with US Airways in late November for the Christmas holidays. I also purchased the so-called "ticket protection" with Access America. Unfortunately, the day before my trip, I grew very ill and was unable to travel. Moreover, I later contacted ACCESS AMERICA and subsequently file a claim for my ticket refund. Four weeks later, I received a notice that stated that a doctor had to examine me, and had to advise me to cancel my trip. I am out $400.
I am so tempted to contact our local Consumer Fraud Bureau and report ACCESS AMERICA. What nonsense.
