Ford Motor Complaint - Ford Motor Lies - 1995 Ford Escort
OHIO -- I purchased a 1995 Ford Escort form Oberling Ford in Portsmouth Ohio. When my husband died suddenly in 1999, I could no longer afford the payments on this car, as I lost over 90% of my income. I contacted Ford Motor and was told to turn the car in to the dealership and they would write it off because of the unforeseen circumstances. I believed them and turned the car back into Oberling Ford. I didn't hear anything from them for 10 years, now all of a sudden I get this letter from a attorney where they want me to pay 14,000 dollars for something I don't have anymore, the car was resold 2 weeks after I turned the car back in. I am a widow living on one paycheck, supporting my self. They have the money for that car, so how many more times does ford motor want to get paid for this car. I called the attorneys office to try and get this settled and they were rude. They are now threatening to garnishee my wages, which if they do this I will most likely lose my apartment because I won't be able to afford anything.
I turned the car back into Ford Motor because I couldn't afford the payments. I should have just went ahead and filed bankruptcy against them but I didn't because I took their word when they said they would write it off. I think that when a company lies to you, the way that Ford motor lied to me, is awful. I will neverr again buy anything that Ford makes because of this. Lie to me once, you will probably lie to me and everyone else again. Its no wonder that ford motor company is in trouble.
They do nothing but lie. I thought after 10 years, it was done, but I was wrong. Like I said I didn't hear anything from this lying company for 10 years. I would not recommend ford Motor to my worst enemy..
