Spirit Airlines Complaint - Clever Attempt To Defraud A Senior Citizen
MIAMI, FLORIDA -- I made a reservation on Spirit Airlines from Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan and back. The agent reversed the departure and arrival cities. I am a senior citizen and did not catch the mistake for weeks later but still weeks before I was to take the trip. I called the mistake to the attention of their "customer service" and was told that to correct the mistake would be the same as changing the reservation and that I would have to pay a total of $140 for the two purchased tickets because I did not catch the mistake in a timely manner. I refused to pay and selected to buy tickets from a more reputable airlines. Spirit refuses to reimburse me or even offer me a voucher.
I've gotten several emails from the airline executives supporting the behavior of its rude and inconsiderate employees. We will be going into court on 2/3/09.
