AirTran Airways Complaint - My Luggage Must Have Grown On My Business Trip...
TAMPA, FLORIDA -- I returned yesterday from my first, and maybe last flight on Airtrans Airways. I am a frequent business traveler, 12-15 times per year and usually fly the same airline. Due to the prices on Airtran I decided to give it a whirl. Checked in for my outbound flight at Bishop Airport in Flint, checked my luggage where they weighed and measured it, no problem what so ever, great flight. HOWEVER, checking in for my flight from Tampa to Michigan, I was informed that not only was my luggage very overweight, but my bag was oversize!!! Keep in mind, this was a business trip, not a pleasure trip, so no added weight due to t-shirts or a dozen grapefruit, same clothes and same suitcase both ways. That will be $78.00 please!!! When I started to complain, where there were about 70 people in line, I was just simply informed that if I wanted my luggage to go with me, I would have to pay!!!! So, decided to just buck up and complain when I got home, what else was I supposed to do. So call there Customer hotline today, and was told there was nothing they could do, that a complaint like that had to be handled at the airport> I asked for her supervisor, and low and behold, I got shoved into someones voicemail!!!!
Waiting for a response, but doubtful. If not, not only will I never fly here again, but I will go out of my way to steer people clear of this airline.
