CircuitCity.com Complaint - Circuit City Unethical Conduct - Selling Brand New Merchandise That They Know Is Damaged
ST PETERSUBRG, FLORIDA -- Please be advise that we have not heard from the assistant manager at the St. Petersburg store who had promised to present our problem to the liquidation people as promised on 1-17-09. However, we returned to the store on the 19th for the 3rd time and one of the employees who remembered us wrote that we returned a defective/damaged television 2 hours after purchase and your manager refused to switch out one of the 20 remaining TV's in the store. It has been further noted that your 1-18-08 advertising flier is not mentioning that you are pushing off your defective/damaged merchandise as new with warranties by the prospective manufacturers. This appears to be fraud and we intend to bring this scam to light. We have witnesses that will attest to receiving your damaged/defective merchandise and if the 42" inch screen was 3/4 quarters cracked inside by the manufacturer, distributor or store, someone needs to take responsibility. It also appears that this behavior of taking advantage of the elderly is deplorable. We have not even been accorded a reply. But rest assured, we will somehow obtain a resolution.
I would like to further state that you are putting the hard working employees under a great deal of pressure with the method of how you are conducting your business practices.
Circuit City will not be leaving the business arena with a good taste in any customer's mouth to say the least
