General Motors Complaint - GM = Junk - Pontiac Aztec
GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA -- I bought a new Pontiac Aztec and have had problems with it from day one. The sunroof leaked and it stained the headliner and destroyed the carpeting in the vehicle (mold). I bought the 4yr/100K warranty. They replaced the sunroof but wouldn't do anything about the damaged headliner or carpeting. I had the vehicle in for service (awful service) numerous times and kept up with the maintenance on the vehicle. Started having problems with the transmission, dealership repaired it and a few months later, the same problem presented itself but they couldn't duplicate it. Took it to another dealership and they did other repairs, but said the transmission was fine. Now, the transmission has failed, the warranty is expired, and they are telling me that it is my fault that the transmission failed because I didn't service the car properly! They can see the service dates in their records and when a vehicle is at the dealership more than twice a year for work, I don't know how much more often anyone could need major repair service! I used my local mechanic for maintenance. What a bunch of idiots. I bought a new Toyota. I would never buy GM again.
I had a Chrysler with over 200K miles on it and loved that vehicle. I hate to see my tax money bailing out a company that SHOULD be out of business. If they could build reliable vehicles and provide great service, they wouldn't need a bailed out.
