Salon CR Complaint - The Owner Is A Moron

Review by lisa b on 2009-01-22
PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA -- I have been going to Salon CR for several years and the owner has been cutting and coloring my hair. I have very long, very thick hair and it is difficult to cut my hair evenly. Every-time he cuts my hair, I have to have him go over it several times to get the sides even and straight. Last night, after working on it for over half an hour, he lost his temper because he couldn't cut it evenly and had a tantrum in from of the entire he salon. He told me to leave and that he wouldn't be cutting my hair anymore. he didn't charge me for the cut, but he yelled to the girl at the desk that there was no charge and he left me standing alone at his station in front of the entire salon while he took the next customer back. I was in total shock and I left with a chopped up hair cut, like always, but this time I didn't have to pay for it. I know that my hair is difficult to cut because of the thickness, that's why I was never critical of him for having such difficulties.

I do think that losing his temper and throwing me out and treating me the way he did was completely unprofessional and I would not recommend this salon to my dog!

I have to be honest, I'm not going to be the only one who asks this. With all the places that do hair everywhere, why would you give them repeat business if they do a lousy job?

I too was thinking that and this may seem harsh but it sounds like poor Andre' the stylist, finally got fed up with your constant "hair splitting". He was probably the only stylist that would put up with this.
Perhaps you should try a new style and stylist.

Good luck, Lisa.

Obviously the stylist dreaded seeing you come in. There are probably 20 more who would love to have the challenge your hair would give them. Your old stylist probably wondered why you kept coming back. He may have even thought you liked to torment him with your difficult to cut hair.

Interesting. A few years ago, I had several stylists flat out REFUSE to cut my long, thick hair.

Not a problem, I just went somewhere else. BTW, this gave me a phobia about hairdressers (I know not everyone can do this, but lately I have my husband help me cut my own hair).

I also agree this was unprofessional behavior, and wish you good luck, too, Lisa.

Why walk around with all that hair? Any hairstylist can texturize hair...it works wonders!
