Washington Mutual Complaint - Only Script Readers, Not Helpful At All
OAK PARL, ILLINOIS -- Due to an error in posting payments, two payments were posted on my account. WAMU representative stated that the extra payment would be applied to next month's minimum payment. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS PAY $1, this is what I did. The supposed "Transfer" never took place. I get 10-20 phone calls from WAMU asking from a payment, I have tried to explain this to them numerous times, and I get the same thing, "I can arrange to help set up a payment", nobody speaks English. When you ask to speak with someone else, it goes into the spiral of nothing, and no one can help you. I finally got someone who could help me and was told that even though the request was made, it sat on someone's desk and now I have to pay the fees and late charges and then they would credit my account within the next two statements. I don't understand, why am I paying for a mistake that WAMU made. I was immediately told "that is the WAMU policy.
I will be contacting the BBB about this and whomever else I can until someone from that office can help me get this resolved. GOING ON THREE MONTHS NOW! I have spoken with 10 people, nobody knows their job.
