Dish Network Complaint - Dish Network Charging NBA League Pass With No Authorization
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Dish Network is trying to scam it's customers. I received a letter in the mail from them stating that since I had subscribed to a NBA League pass in 2007 they were going to automatically renew my subscription unless I cancelled. I immediately contacted Dish Network and told them that not only did I not want the pass I found it very objectionable that they would automatically charge my card without my authorization. They said they would cancel the subscription. The next thing I know I get a bill for $169.00 on my credit card. When I called to complain they said there was nothing that could be done and the charge was final. How can a company act like this. This is basically theft. They have my credit card and apparently can make what ever charges they want, despite the fact I specifically forbade them from placing that charge. I wonder how many hundreds of thousands or millions they have made this way.
I am wondering if anyone is interested in a class action lawsuit against Dish Network? I can see from the internet complaints I am not the only one that has been subjected to these unscrupulous business practices. Is Dish Network that desperate that they have to scam their customers?
