Burien Nissan Complaint - Screwed On Financing
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- The finance manager completely botched up my financing and now I am left with a considerably higher interest rate.
I came into the dealership with pre-approved financing at 8.55%. In closing the deal, Juan said that he could get me 8.15% financing if I purchased GAP insurance. I agreed and we signed all the necessary paperwork; the deal was closed. After 3 weeks, I was informed that he actually couldn’t get me financing and that I had to find financing again on my own. I went back to my original lender who now could only offer me financing at 11.62%! The only reason I didn’t use my original financing at 8.55% was because Juan said he could get me a better rate tied to the purchase of the GAP insurance; basically I fell for the upsell. He should not have offered the better rate if he could not guarantee I would get it. The sales manager only offered to compensate me $500, even though the difference in the finance charges would have been over $2200. I returned the car but am now stuck with financing at 11.62%. Beware of this dealership and beware of their finance manager. They conducted business in a completely unprofessional manner with no regard to their own error, which Juan admitted was his.
They should have compensated me for the entire difference in finance charges; that would have been the professional thing to do. I have all the paperwork to back up my complaint and will share with whomever asks for it. Do not give this dealership your business.
