May I suggest an alternative to your canned warning regarding of the “liability of stolen valuables”? For example, this warning is more appropriate, and may deflect the fury of customers.
“Please be aware that anything you, the passenger, bring on board will be stolen. Therefore we advise against bringing anything at all on your voyage”.
