Priceline.com Complaint - More Expensive Than Booking Myself
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- Priceline took my 'name your own price' for a 3 star hotel. In the past, I've been pleasantly surprised when they bumped me up to a much nicer hotel. Today, checking the hotel website showed me that I paid $18 more a night through Priceline. I phoned their 800 number to request a refund for the difference, or a nicer hotel. After speaking with 2 reps, they were 'unable' to find the lower rate that I had on my computer monitor, and were unwilling to use the same URL. They refunded me for the $3 difference that they found, plus another 10%, but I'm still paying more than I would if I'd have booked online myself.
Very disappointing- I won't be using them again, and recommend that no one else use them either.
